May31Windows Server 2012 Loadfest – Free full day of training. May 31st 2013 @ Microsoft's Cambridge OfficeFriday: May 31 (all day)
The Boston Area Windows Server User Group (www.WindowsBoston.com) is sponsoring a training class “Windows Server 2012 Load Fest” for their members and the local technology community. The topic will be how to install and setup Windows 2012 and Hyper-V 3.0
The primary focus will be on Windows Server 2012 but other operating systems (Windows 8) may be covered as well.
The presentation will be put on by volunteer steering committee members and local technology leaders Dan Stolts of Bay State Integrated Technology, Inc. (www.BayStateTechnolology.com) and Clyde G. Johnson, the president of the Boston Area Windows Server User Group.
The event will be held at Microsoft’s facility at 1 Cambridge Center in Cambridge MA on Friday May 31st. This event will be heavily sponsored by Microsoft and there will be NO fee.
The first half of the training will be a lecture style meeting were we will discuss the new features included in Windows 2012, the installation process and also discuss the new version of Hyper-V
The second half of the meeting will give you a chance to bring in a system of your own and to either install the operating system on bare metal or to install it as a dual boot to VHD.
Registration starts at 8:30 am. The Loadfest will be from 9 am to 4 pm. The location is the 1 Cambridge Center Microsoft Offices, where we have our regular meetings. There will be NO cost for this event.

The goal of the group is to pool our knowledge and resources so our members stay informed about technology, security, best practices, innovations and procedures.
